Atlas PMI destinazione futuro

“Atlas PMI Destinazione Futuro” is an Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) that invests in Italian SMEs, presented to Atlas SGR by a network of selected partners (primary Confidi mainly, or authorized crowdfunding platforms).

The Fund invests in loans to SMEs for a maximum of seven years, a maximum amount of €500,000, with a minimum 50% guarantee issued by Confidi or – residually – directly by the Public Central Guarantee Institution for SMEs, depending on the regulations in force from time to time. For each financed company, an ESG profile is generated, with the aim of increasing companies’ awareness of sustainability and with bonus mechanisms (in terms of a discount on the interest rate paid) for companies that improve their ESG score over time.

The presence of a counter-guarantee from the Public Mutual Guarantee Insitution (on the guarantee issued by Confidi), or direct guarantee issued by the same Institution, enables significant capital absorption advantages for banks and insurance companies investing in the AIF (under CRR II and Solvency II).

The investment of at least 70% in Italian SMEs enables the AIF to qualify as a PIR under Italian Law 232/2016 (Legge di Bilancio/Budget Law 2017), with significant tax advantages for Pension Funds.
